We at Canal Communities Intercultural Centre are a leading community-based practical resource that aims to support integration in the Bluebell, Rialto, Kilmainham, Inchicore, Islandbridge areas of south west inner city Dublin. We aim to inspire, encourage and support individuals and organisations to promote integration between Irish residents in the area and people from minority ethnic and immigrant communities.
Canal Communities Intercultural Centre offers a range of open programme and activities:
- Fáilte Isteach Conversational English classes
- Intercultural Talent Shows
- International Céilí evenings
We also work with organisations to support and resource integration within their own organisations. To date we have worked with youth projects and clubs, schools, community organisations and migrant-led groups. Our vision is that together we can build a community that understands, accepts and celebrates diversity and friendship.
