Intercultural Youth Work

An Intercultural Strategy for Youth Work

The idea of an Intercultural Strategy for Youth Work was first proposed in 2006 when a need was identified to respond to the changing demographic of the Canal Communities particularly among the children and young people. In 2008 funding was secured and research for the Canal Communities Intercultural Strategy for Youth Work began. By the end of 2009 that research was completed and in 2011 the Canal Communities Intercultural Center attracted funding to roll out the strategy in colloboration with local youth services. The strategy itself is available
here. What follows on this page is resources designed to support intercultural work with children and young people
